Gants Hill, Roll Gardens:

• Feb 7th - Gants Hill / Garden bird sightings as follows.
  
• 1 Sparrowhawk seen at 3.50pm over garden on the hunt.
  
• 1 Female Great Spotted Woodpecker,
  
• 12 Blue tits, 4 Long Tailed tits - 2 of which could be nest prospecting (watch this space), 2 Great tit,
  
• 5 Greenfinch, 9 Chaffinch, 3 Goldfinch,
  
• 10 House Sparrows, 10 Starlings, 2 Magpies, 1 Robin, 1 Woodpigeon, 5 Feral Pigeon, Cheers; (Alan Thomas)
  

Hainault, Hannover Gardens:

• I've seen a heron flying over the gardens on several occasions, a blackcap and several long-tailed tits.
  
• The tawny owl is still calling most nights.
  
• Still no coal tits so far this winter. I finally saw a nuthatch in Claybury Park last week - my first sighting there, at last. (Eddie Barnes)

• 1 Snipe, 2 Meadow Pipit, Mistle Thrush, 5 Song Thrush (3 singers), 4 Pochard, 23 Tufted Duck, 24 Shoveler, 10 Gadwall, 9 Greylag Goose, 10+ Goldfinch, 3 Chaffinch, 9 Greenfinch, Little Grebe, 1 Stock Dove (NC).

Wanstead Park:
