Grange Hill, Long Gardens:

  • Coal Tit & Great Spotted Woodpecker visited this morning. The Coal Tit has been a regular visitor since the end of September. (Ian Shaw)
Hainault Farm:
  • 110 Golden Plover, 150 Lapwing (SBacon)

Ray Park:

  • Herring Gull and 10+ COmmonGulls on the field (AHobson)

Roding Valley Park:

  • 2 flocks of Long Tailed Tit,
  • flock of Goldfinch and a single bird elsewhere
  • 5 Common Gull, Cormorant
  • Jay
  • Pied Wagtail
  • Song Thrush
  • Little Grebe on the river in the northern section (north of Chigwell Road) (AHobson)
Valentines Park:
  • Valentino the Mediterranean Gull showing very well (PHopkins)
  • Short walk aong the Boating Lake/Crambrook Cut:
  • 3 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Grey Heron
  • 9 Mute Swan (2 ad, 7 juv), Greylag Goose, Canada Goose, Mallard, 2 male Pochard, Tufted Duck, Coot, Moorhen
  • 2 Common Gull, Black Headed Gull flcok, Mediterranean Gull (Valentino), 1 juv Herring Gull,
  • Feral Pigeon, 1 Stock Dove, Woodpigeon,
  • Grey Wagtail on the southern outfall of the boating lake

Wanstead Flats:

  • (07:30-12:00):7 pr Shoveler, 1 pr Teal, 1 pr Gadwall, 1 pr Tufted Duck (Steve Thorpe), 5 Cormorant,
  • 15 + Meadow Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Skylark, 8 Chaffinch, Linnet, Lesser Redpoll, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, 1 Reed Bunting, 2 Redwing, Fieldfare, 3 Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, 8 + Blackbird, 4 Goldcrest (and associated tit flocks), Green and Great Spotted Woodpecker, Ring Necked Parakeet and not much else sooooo to the park... NC)

Wanstead Park:

  • Treecreeper (only the 2nd or 3rd record this year - only my second in 20 years - and a patch tick tick woo hoo! 120 for the year) in with a host of Goldcrest (+ 20) Coal Tit and the usuals, Firecrest (heard in the grotto),
