Claybury Park:
  • 3 Stock Dove, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker heard, 2 Jay, also 20+ Meadow Pipit flushed from the grass area near Tomswood Hill (DEH)
Fairlop Waters;
  • female Goosander, and female Goldeneye
  • Canada Goose 200+, Greylag Goose 40+
  • Mute Swan, Shoveler, Tufted Duck, Coot, Moorhen
  • Lapwing, Mallard, Little Grebe, Black-headed Gull, Pochard, Magpie, Woodpigeon, Fieldfare, Blackbird, Blue Tit, Redwing, Great Tit Cormorant, Reed Bunting, Carrion Crow, Great Crested Grebe, Common Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, House Sparrow, Wren, Long-tailed Tit, Robin (NTwyford)
Gants Hill Roll Gardens:
  • 1 Coal tit,13 Blue tits, 4 Great tits, 14 House Sparrows, 10 Green finches, 10 Chaffinches, 2 Goldfinches, 4 Blackbirds, 1 Dunnock, 1 Wren, 2 Robins, 8 Starlings, 1 Magpie, 1 Woodpigeon, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Green Woodpecker - Heard yaffle, 1 Cormorant over - mid afternoon, 1 Grey Heron - Being mobbed over garden by two crows late afternoon, 10 Feral pigeons (Alan Thomas)

Roding Valley Park:
  • Kingfisher, Little egret, 2 cormorant, 1 green woodpecker (actually next to the river - a first), 3 goldfinch, wren, lots of robins, woodpigeons, crows, black headed gulls and lesser black backed gulls, magpies, dunnock, gt/blue/LT tits, several mallards, 3 moorhens. Weirdly, no jays at all which is unusual. (PGordon)

South Woodford:
  • Male Sparrowhawk over the garden at 9am this morning - luckily I was looking out from the top of the house so go a great view as he went past. Then again later in the afternoon being chased away by a gull. Other garden sightings today - Robin, Dunnock, Magpie, usual 5 crows, 15 starling, 12 sparrow, 6 woodpigeon, 2 blue tit, 1 great tit, 1 jay, poss 2 wren. (P Gordon)

Wanstead Flats:
  • (07:30-08:00): 3 Shoveler, 7 Tufted Duck, pr Teal, 10 Ring Necked Parakeet, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Meadow Pipit, Great Black Backed Gull and very cold (NC)
Wanstead Park:
  • (08:30-13:00): Firecrest (The Grotto), 14 + Goldcrest, Treecreeper (h south of the Dell), 116 + Gadwall (split between the three main bodies of water in the few remaining ice free patches), 84 + Tufted Duck (mainly Heronry), 40 + Pochard (H), 12 Shoveler, 2 Egyptian Goose, 7 Little Grebe (H), 2 Grey Heron, Little Egret, 2 Sparrowhawk, 30 + Siskin, Lesser Redpoll, Great Black Backed Gull.
  • Mink seen scooting along the ice west end of Perch (un-wanted yank patch tick) (NC)
