Roding Valley Park:
  • 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 2 Jays, flock of around 8 Goldfinches, still at least 16 Mallards in one small area on the Roding, this time by the Chigwell Road footbridge. (Alan Hobson)

South Woodford:

  • 1 cormorant,
  • 2 Dunnock, 1 Robin
  • 2 Great tit, 2 Blue tit
  • Flock of House Sparrows
  • 3 Woodpigeon
  • 1 Starling (PGordon)

Valentines Park:

  • 1 Great Crested Grebe and 1 Little Grebe on the boating lake,
  • 12 Mute Swan, Canada Geese, 3 Greylag Geese (including 2 hybrid), 5 Egyptian Geese on Long Water, Mallard, 2 Shoveler, 2 Tufted DUck, Moorhen, Coot
  • Black Headed Gulls, 2 Common Gull, Valentino the Mediterranean Gull!,
  • Woodpigeons, Feral Pigeons, 2 Collared Dove,
  • Kingfisher back in his old haunts
  • Green Woodpecker
  • Grey Wagtail on Cranbrook Cut
  • Also: Wren, Robin, Blackbird, 5 mistle Thrush, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Carrion Crow, Starling, 4 House Sparrow along Brisbane Road, 2 Chaffinch in the wilderness (MCOndon)

Wanstead Flats:

  • (07:15-11:30) (migration watching): 250+ Fieldfare (west, though some 20+ landed in Long Wood), 5 Redwing, 4 Mistle Thrush, 27 Chaffinch, 6 Greenfinch, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 4 Siskin, 13 Goldfinch, 8 Reed Bunting, 100+ Wood Pigeon (south), 7 Pied Wagtail, 13 Meadow Pipit, 30+ Skylark, 3 Goldcrest, 6 Ring Necked Parakeet, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Common Buzzard, 6 Gadwall (2 on Jub), Shoveler m (Jub) (NC)

Wanstead, garden:
