Roding Valley Park, central:
  • by the Fishing Lake: Great Spotted Woodpecker, flock of around 40 Goldfinches, at least half a dozen Swifts, 2 Whitethroats,
  • Mallards inc. brood of ducklings.
  • by the River: Little Egret (over river and by footbridge), flock of Long-tailed Tits (inc. juveniles safely fledged)
  • Song Thrush surrounded by 10 Blue Tits
  • Mitten Crab in the Roding (AHobson)

Wanstead Flats:

  • 6:30-9:30: 7 Cormorant over,
  • 6 Mute Swan, 221 Canada Geese, 104 Mallard, 1 Tufted Duck, 46 Coot, 12 Moorhen.
  • 6 Common Gull, 70 Black-headed Gull, 5 Lesser Black Backed Gull,
  • 4 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Hobby,
  • 1 Ring Necked Parakeet,
  • 1 Little Owl,
  • 2 Skylark, 4 Meadow Pipit,
  • 19 Swift, 11 House Martin,
  • 180 Feral Pigeon, 1 Collared Dove, 27 Woodpigeon,
