Hainault Lodge Nature Reserve:

• Hobby flew into the reserve from Hainault Forest at 8.30pm (DEH)

Roding Valley Park, central section:

• 2 Swift
• juvenile Blackcap, Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat
• 12ish Goldfinch
• Mallard with brood of 5 on the river (Alan Hobson)

Valentines Park:

• 9.45 a.m - 11.45 a.m.
• 60 Crows with a few Jackdaws interspersed amonst them
• 65 Mallard all in eclipse, 6 Tufted Ducks, 1 female Shoveler.
• 2 adult Mute Swans & 8 young.
• 60 Coots with at least 4 sitting on nests, 7 adult Moorhens & 3 young
• 140 + Black headed Gulls with quite a few juveniles amonst them.
• A very small group of Swifts..
• 1 adult Great Crested Grebe & 1 young, 1 Little Grebe..
• 80+ Canada Geese.
• 2 Robins, 2 Wrens, 2 Dunnocks.
• 1 Great Tit, 2 Blue Tits.
• 1Chaffinch,3 Greenfinches.
• 5 Blackbirds, 4 Mistle Thrushes.
