Claybury Park:

• First warm day of late spring. Many birds singing only infrequently. Sightings difficult due to leaf cover. Bluebells and wild garlic competing for aromatic superiority.
• Canada Goose 2, Mallard 8

• Coot 2 + 2 chicks
• Feral Pigeon, Woodpigeon, Collared Dove
• Swift
• 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Green Woodpecker

Valentines Park:

• 3 Grey Heron Chicks growing well
• 2 long Tailed Tits with 4 fledged young (Barbara J)
• 2 Egyptian Geese

• 4 singing Blackcap
• Great Crested Grebe still on nest (PHopkins)

Wanstead Park:

• Little Egret on the Roding
• Hobby over Shoulder of Mutton Pond into Resevoir Wood (JLethbridge)
• Mistle thrush, great tit, robin, blue tit , carrion crow, starlings
• mallards with ducklings - at least 3 families
• mute swans with cygnets (2 families) - swan still at/on nest has at least 6
• moorhen
• Ring Necked parakeets
