  • 2 Magpie, 5 Jackdaw, 3 Jay, 19 Carrion Crow
  • 6 Stock Doves showing very well, 10 Wood Pigeon, (NELondon RSPB Walk)

Fairlop, Aldborough Riding School:

  • Little Owl (Alan Hobson)

Fairlop Waters CP:

  • Kestrel,
  • Green Woodpecker,
  • Skylark,
  • 2 Reed Buntings,
  • pr Gadwalls, Little Grebe,
  • 2 Long-tailed Tits, 3 Fieldfares, and over 30 species in total. (AHobson)

Hainault Forest CP:

  • Great Crested Grebe (Marc Rossiter)
South Woodford, garden:
  • Sparrowhawk seen twice today (probably the same bird)
  • Robin almost feeding from the hand
  • pair of Collared Doves (PGordon)

Wanstead Flats:-

  • 22 Shoveler on Alexandra Lake with 16 Tufted Duck
  • 8 Greylag Geese with the Canadas
  • c350 Common Gull and 56 Black Headed Gull
  • 2 adult & 1x 1st winter Lesser Black Backed Gull
  • 2 Cormorant (1 over, 1 fishing the lake)
  • 1 Little Grebe (Alex Lake)
  • 24 Carrion Crows, 9 Jackdaw, c10 Starling, 4 House Sparrow
  • Mistle Thrush, 7 Redwing, 2 Dunnock, Robin, 4 Blackbird, 3 Wren
  • 2 Greenfinch, 4 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tit, 5 Long Tailed Tit,
  • Green Woodpecker
  • 5 Meadow Pipit, 16 Skylark (many in song)

Wanstead Park:

  • Water Rail (in the Dell still),

  • 28 Linnet (feeding on old goosefoot seeds near old sewage farm),
  • 25+ Redwing, 4 Song Thrush
  • 2 Lesser Redpoll, (SFisher)

Forest Gate, Forest Park Lane: (just outside the borough)

  • Pair Blackcap still present, 1 Bullfinch south, 2 Long-tailed Tits, c35 Redwing over from West Ham Cemetery and usual Chaffinch, Greenfinch and House Sparrows at feeders (S Fisher)

Manor Park, City of London Cemetary: (just outside the borough)

  • Goldcrest singing
