Aldersbrook:
  • garden sightings in an Aldersbrook Estate garden
  • 4 Ring Necked Parakeets (the most I've seen perched in our avenue's gardens together)
  • 2 Magpies, 1 Jay
  • 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker
  • 3 Blackbirds (2 M, 1F), Wren, Dunnock, Robin
  • 70 Starlings - across 2 gardens, 5 House Sparrows
  • 2 Blue Tits
  • 2 Greenfinch, 2 Chaffinch,
  • 6 Wood Pigeon
  • Over - many Carrion Crows up to 3 together, 3 Black Headed Gulls. (Sally Hammond)

Claybury Park:

  • 1 Grey Heron
  • 1 male Merlin flew through the park
  • 27 Meadow Pipit, (probably a lot more)
  • 24 Wood Pigeon, 2 Stock Dove
  • 4 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Green Woodpecker
  • 5 Blackbird, 3 Redwing, Robin
  • 31 Blue Tit, 15 Great Tit, 7 Long Tailed Tit, 2 Coal Tit
  • 2 Nuthatch, Treecreeper
  • 20 Chaffinch, 19 Goldfinch, 10 Greenfinch
  • 17 Carrion Crow, 19 Magpie, Jay (DEH)

South Woodford:

  • Grey Heron in neighbours garden (PGordon)

Wanstead Park:

  • 5 Tufted Duck, 8 Pochard,
  • Shoveler (on Heronry Pond), 3 Little Grebe,
  • Grey Heron (Perch Pond),
  • 4 Ring-necked Parakeet,
  • 8 Lesser Redpoll (The Dell) (J Lethbridge)

Wanstead Flats:

  • 2 Grey Heron
  • Snipe
  • 9 Ring-necked Parakeet over
  • 22 Skylark, 6 Meadow Pipit (JLethbridge)

Woodford Green, Broadmead Estate:

  • Mistle Thrush, Blackbird
  • 2 Pied Wagtails
  • Blue Tit singing
  • flock of Feral Pigeons (DEH)

Barking: (just outside the borough)

  • Redwing on Longbridge Road (PHa)

Buckhurst Hill: (just outside the borough)

  • Redwings and Goldfinches in the garden (Chris Marshall)
