• U3A Birders trip to Fairlop Waters:
• Great Crested Grebe 2, Little Grebe 4+
• Cormorant 1,
• Mute Swan pair 2+ the parents have split from the cygnets
• Canada Geese, Greylag Geese 8,
• Wigeon (pair), Gadwall 9+, Mallard, Shoveler 2 male 1 female in flight, Tufted Duck,
• Moorhen, Coot
• few Lapwing
• Black-headed Gull, Common Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull
• Feral Pigeons, Wood Pigeons, Collared Dove
• Green Woodpecker 2 in flight
• Wren, Dunock, Robin also 1 singing from the rafters in the farm shop, Blackbird, Fieldfare, Mistle Thursh, Redwing,
• Blue Tit, Great Tit
• Magpie, Carrion Crow collecting nesting material
• Greenfinch 2 male

Ilford, A406:

• female Sparrowhawk flew low over the A406 near Ilford Golf Course
• also a Cormorant

Ilford, Tavistock Gardens:

• male Blackcap (PVaughn)
  

Roding Valley Park:

• 2 Mute Swans by Charlie Browns Roundabout

South Woodford:

• Great Spotted Woodpecker returned to the garden after a month
• Cormorant (over)
• Sparrowhawk showing interest in a House Sparrow flock, then a few mins later, reappeared higher being mobbed by a Carrion Crow (PGordon)

Wanstead Flats:

• 4 Greylag Geese nyammin with the Canada Geese on the sports field near Alexandra Lake (DEH)
• Meadow Pipit,
• 2 Green Woodpecker, Greater Spotted Woodpecker,
• Fieldfare,
• Pochard, Shoveler,
• 4 Ring Necked Parakeet (Nick Croft)

Wanstead Park:

• female Lesser Spotted Woodpecker showing well in the Dell, beofre flying off north
• 5 Siskin (birdguides)

Whipps Cross: (just outside the borough)

• male Stonechat (SFisher)

Manor Park, Roding Valley Way: (just outside the borough)

• Robin,
• Long-Tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Wren, Wood Pigeon, Song Thrush, Greenfinch, Dunnock,
• Black-Headed Gull, Herring Gull,
