Woodford Green:
  • 5 Black Headed Gull, 2 Lesser Black Backed Gull, 2 Common Gull and 1 Yellow-Legged Gull on Broadmead playing field this afternoon at 2pm

Roding Valley Park, southern section:

  • Charlie Browns to Redbridge roundabout.
  • 46 Mallard, 17 Moorhen (1 of which i thought was a Little Grebe as it disappeared under water and stayed there for over 1 minuite, it then appeared again to reveal its true identity - a juv Moorhen!
  • male Kestrel near the Thames Water building
  • Long Tailed Tits with Blue Tits and Great Tits
  • Song Thrush, Robin, c10 Wren, Blackbird
  • Kingfisher just south of Charlie Browns
  • Great Spotted Woodpecker

Roding Valley Park, central section:

  • Charlie Browns to Woodford Bridge.
  • 19 Mallard, 12 Moorhen
  • Great Spotted Woodpecker
  • Kingfisher, seen 3 times, but probably the same bird as above, as seen flying from the southern section, under Charlie Browns roundabout.
  • Grey Wagtail near the rubbish dump.
  • 2 parties of Long Tailed Tit, Blue Tits, Great Tits
  • 2 Goldfinch near snakes lane east junction.
  • Song Thrush, Blackbird, Robin, Dunnock, Wren
  • Grey Heron asleep in the middle of the river. (DEH)

Roding Valley Park, northern section:

  • Little Egret, presumably the same bird as above (Alan Hobson)

Hainault Forest CP:

  • 120 Canada Geese in the flock today. (TLachhar)

Hainault:

  • Great Spotted Woodpecker
  • Jay
  • Song Thrush
  • Goldfinches and our first Greenfinch in ages
  • (garden birds - EBarnes)

Forest Gate: (just outside the borough)

  • female Blackcap in a Capel Road garden (PFerris)
