Farmland, Fairlop:


  • c110 Golden Plover

  • (both on the field east of Hainault Road, opposite Painters Road)

Painters Road, Fairlop:

  • male Kestrel on a lamp column

Hainault:

  • Great Spotted Woodpecker
  • Jay
  • Goldfinches (all on our feeders)
  • Buzzard, disappeared over Claybury Park!

Gants Hill:

  • BTO garden survey 10.05-11.05am
  • Sparrowhawk - seen at 10.59am with a short burst of flight then gliding over back garden and over the houses adjacent which scattered pigeons from my garden and surrounding gardens.
  • Blue tits - 8, Great tits - 2,
  • Robin - 1, House Sparrows - 14, Chaffinches - 6, Greenfinches - 5, Starlings - 6,
  • Magpies -2, Feral Pigeons - 7,
  • Plus - 2 Squirrels
  • Later sightings pm in garden as follows: Great Spotted Woodpecker - c1 (Male)
  • Goldfinches - 2
  • Wood Pigeon - 1

  • 2 Pied Wagtail (Broadmead Estate)

Claybury Park:

  • 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Green Woodpecker
  • Mistle Thrush, flock of Redwings
  • 5 Jay
  • Small party of Long Tailed Tits

Roding Valley NR: (just outside the borough)

  • 22 Fieldfares. (BJ)

Ilford:

  • Tavistock Gardens, garden sightings
  • 2 Long tailed tits, 27 House Sparrows, 2 Robins, 12 Wood Pigeons, 7 Blue tits, 6 Great Tits, Collared Dove, 2 Starlings, Blackbird, Dunnock (PVaughn)

Connaught Water: (just outside the borough)

  • male Smew (PWarne)
