SWALLOW

Swallow: Summer Visitor (Breeding)

Swallows breed in a few locations in the Borough, particulary in the farmland around Fairlop and Hainault, but are more widespread during migration, where severel hundred can be seen passing over Wanstead Flats, or congregating arond Fairlop Waters.

The best place to see Swallows in the borough is at Aldborough Hall Riding School on Aldborough Lane North, where several pairs nest in the barns.
